This Moment

I have today
Maybe tomorrow
Yesterday's gone
I have today

I have this moment
Maybe more
So many gone
I have this moment

Time flies by
So much has gone
But I have this moment
To make my mark
And sing my song

As Alexandra and Marc drew on the sidewalk, the clouds began to gather.  We will probably have rain today.  And their artwork will be washed away.  But we have this moment.  We have the precious memories of this experience.  Marc has the gift of pride, joy and happiness from this moment.  Alexandra has this memory of time with Uncle Marc.  And I, the proud mother and grandmother will have to sew on another button.

Sometimes we get so caught up in the chaos of life that we forget this is the only moment we are guaranteed.  We should be making the most of this moment.  We should be creating art right now.  Whether it be on a sidewalk, on a canvas, a song, an act of kindness or a forgiving heart.  This is what we have, this moment.
What are you doing with this moment?
