Transition

Your life's a certain way

And then it's not

People here to stay

And then they're not

You like a certain color

And then you don't

You have a couple dollars

And then you don't

So choose a different way

Choose a different color

Choose another friend

Earn a few more dollars

Life is ever changing

Some things are forever

Some things come and go

It's what you do

With what you have

That paints a brand new picture

 

I have had the perfect life several times.  The thing is life keeps changing.  Something happens that leaves blank spots in my life.  And though it usually shakes me to the very core, I still keep getting up and moving on.  I paint another picture.

The truth is, life will always keep changing.  What our life looks like at any given moment is subject to change.  Which can be frightening.  But, it can also be encouraging.  Because what our life looks like today is only today.  We have the assurance that it will change.  We are always in transition.  We don't just wake up one day wiser, older, calmer, smarter, thinner, or better off.  It is a day by day transition.  

So if you are not happy where you are, hang on, it will change.  If you love where you are, treasure it, it will change.  For we are always in transition.
